Itinerary
Thailand Motorcycle Tour Details
Your first day of Thailand Motorcycle Tour. Get to know the magic of Chiang Mai while recognizing your motorbike early morning and then move full on to the adventure making your way south of the city to the National Park and highest peak in Thailand, Doi Inthanon, 2,565 meters above sea level.
After having your local lunch, you’ll make your way to the city of Mae Sariang passing through some smooth, easy curves and the amazing views of the pine forests. Later on, you will enjoy an overnight stay in Mae Sariang.
Get breakfast and get ready to enjoy the second day adventure with nice road ahead on the way to Mae Hong Son where you will get to see part of the history of this city at the World War II Museum and after make your way to the long-neck Karen hilltribes close to the border with Myanmar.
After lunch, ride on the way to the greatest temple of the city of the ‘Three Mists’, Wat Chong Klang and keep on driving north, high into the mountain villages to get a pleasant night at Mae Hong Son’s hidden treasures National Park, Pang Oong.
After breakfast go further north, higher into the mountains and visit Ban Ruam Thai, a little town with old Chinese architectures during the communist takeover build by the people who settled there.
Go back into the road 1095 and go to a bamboo raft through Mae Hong Son’s “cave with a stream running through” – Tham Lod Cave – then make your way through the nice asphalt, twisty roads towards the old town of Pai where you will be catching amazing mountain views to delight the ride.
Arrive in Pai and get some authentic local flavors for lunch at a Thai restaurant and join later to finish the day with a visit to the old Pai Canyon. After you will be able to enjoy the night market or simply rest at the swimming pool of the hotel.
Get ready to start the day with a visit to hot springs and continue to make your offerings to the White Buddha at the Wat Phra That Mae Yen before the adventure of the day going through the sequence of 762 sharp curves on the way to the shooting range, riding through the World War II Bridge Memorial.
After lunch is served in a local restaurant in Chiang Dao town, keep on driving through the amazing mountainous views that will join the zigzaging ride on the way to Doi Ang Khang and the Royal Agricultural Project, where you can get to see a huge amount of vegetables, fruits, flowers and animals interacting on the area located on this 1.928 meters above the sea level where The King turned opium fields into an amazing agricultural station. Delight yourself with the amazing sunset on top of the hill after the nice ride of the day. Go around the village and have a nice rest at your comfortable accommodation for the night.
Meet up for the half trip ride after breakfast and jump on your bike to head towards the beautiful Chinese tea farmers villages at the Doi Mae Salong where you will be able to delight yourself with the best Thai tea you can taste in the country and permeate with the kind people that lives there. Pick up your machine again and ride it to the top of the country in Mae Sai to interact with the wild monkeys at the Wat Tham Pla.
Last part of the day, ride all the way to the Golden Triangle and take a trip on a longtail boat through Mekong river and see part of the border country of Laos. End the day with a relaxing visit to the Hall of Opium and have a pleasant night at your hotel.
Leave the Golden Triangle early morning and head south on your motorcycle after breakfast through the road surrounded of incredible farming areas on the way to Chiang Rai, where you will visit Wat Rong Suea Ten, known as the Blue Temple, and Wat Rong Khun, known as The White Temple (one of the 10 wonder temples of the world).
Go around Doi Luang National Park and keep on touring towards the Kwan Phayao Lake and all the diverse flora and fauna that it has to offer as one of the most important wetlands in the country as well as the submerged temple that got drowned when the irrigation system was being built, combination that will make a perfect sunset to finish the day. After the easy ride of the day give yourself a goodnight rest at your peaceful accommodation in Phayao.
Take the handlebar and ride up north again to enjoy one of the best roads on the country, the famous Rd. N° 1148 and all its ups and downs twisty curves and sharp turns that will make you produce all the adrenaline you can possibly make. Finish the day visiting Wat Phra That Khao Noi and delight yourself with the amazing view after the long day that went through before having a good night rest at your peaceful accommodation in the town of Nan.
Make your choice and decide whether you want to fully relax by checking out the lovely town of Nan or if you would like to go and do Bo Kluea Loop (part of the Naan Loop), surrounding the Doi Phu Kha National Park and visiting the waterfalls of the park to enjoy the day. You will return to Nan after the loop is completed to spend one more night in this beautiful town.
After breakfast ride through the mountainous roads of the highway N° 1026 on the way to Sirikit dam reservoir on the Nan river, named after the Queen Sirikit of Thailand, where you will sail across on a wooden ferry with your motorbike to have local food on the other side of it. After lunch and fully charged again you will make your way to the city of Phrae through the rice fields that surround the road until you reach the beautiful city, where you will be able to see the real local lifestyle.
Riding through classic roads with local surroundings the further north you will go the more nature you will get around you on this part of the trip, where you will finally have your last night’s rest at your hotel.
This is the last day of your Thailand Motorcycle Tour. Wake up early morning to meet up for our last breakfast and get everything ready for the last ride of this adventure. You will get last instructions and Q/A space to insure a smooth trip back to Chiang Mai.
Jump on the road early morning and leave the town of Phra riding up north through all the scenic views riding through curvy roads along the road N° 1035, on the way to Mae Kampong where you will have lunch in one of the most relaxing villages of the area high in the jungle. Keep on heading south on the way to Chiang Mai touring through amazing farming and mountainous sceneries around the smooth road that will lead you back to the city where everything begun a few days ago.
Arrive in Chiang Mai at Tha Pae Gate and get ready to be driven back to your hotel or to the airport, according to your request.
