Types of motorcycle phone mounts
Basically, there are four different types of cell phone holders for motorcycles. Let’s take a look at them in detail.
Adhesive mount: This cell phone holder for motorcycle consists of two parts; firstly, a ring that is attached on the handlebar and secondly, a holder that is glued to the back of the phone. The minimalist design is very unobtrusive and hardly takes up any space on the handle bar and is especially convenient on long and bumpy rides that require a strong hold. The only disadvantage is that the adhesive strip can leave residue on your cell phones.
Clamp mount: The clamp mount is slightly larger in comparison with the adhesive mount. Here, too, the frame is attached to the handlebars and the cell phone can then be clamped into the holder. The most practical thing with this type of mount is that you can adjust the holder according to the size of the cell phone. Clamp mounts are particularly safe for motorcyclists as they completely grip the phone including the front edges.
Grip holder with rubber band: Just like clamp mounts and adhesive mounts; Grip holders get attached to the handlebar and protrude gripper arms which are used to hold the phone. The disadvantage here is that the rubber band of the cell phone holder can become porous due to heat or strong sunlight and thus no longer serve its purpose.
