It can be taken up as a sport, leisure, or as a means of travel. And the good news is, we are witnessing more and more fascinating motorcycles with each passing year.
However, this sport is accompanied with some risks. In fact, the danger associated with riding a motorcycle is about 29 times higher than car due to some obvious reasons (no air bags, no four-wheel support, no roller cage, etc.).
Although you cannot eliminate any risk, you can use the right equipment to limit the effects of a fall. But as a beginner, with some budget constraints, things might get difficult for you. You may have purchased a used motorcycle after doing your due diligence, but the same might look implausible in case of, for instance, motorcycle gloves that can go as high as $400.
So, what can be done here? Should the rider roam around on his bike with his bare hands? Nope, we cannot let this happen to our beloved motorcycling community.
In today’s article, we will be discussing some of the basic motorcycle gloves that range around $50, yet, are practical, comfortable, and offer decent amount of safety to riders in case of a fall.
10 Best Motorcycle Gloves Under $50
Scorpion EXO Divergent Gloves
Number one on our list is Scorpion EXO Divergent Glove, and the reason why we decided to pick this one is because of its price-performance ratio. Priced just under $40, it offers pretty good protection as well as ventilation, so it would be great for summer riding all around the states.
It features 3D molded knuckle and finger armor, which although feels very soft around the hands, yet offers very good impact protection in case of a fall.
The next great thing that you will love about this glove is it’s double stitching. So, in case you do fall, the double stitch around the palm will ensure that all the protective paddings and armors are in place. It also features gauge mesh panels on the upper back that allows you extra breathability and ventilation. So, despite the hot weather, your ride will be super comfortable whatsoever!
But that’s not all: You get touchscreen compatible fingertips that allows you to use your smartphones, GPS devices, and even your dashboard consoles. This makes it quite convenient for riders who are looking for solutions to make their glove tactile, as these gloves cost more or less the same.
All in all, these reinforced padded gloves are the best in case you are looking for a cheap alternative.

Joe Rocket Super Moto Gloves
Despite its name, Super Moto is a lightweight sports glove designed for the summer season. Owing to the spandex material on the back of the hand in combination with goat leather, they are very comfortable.
Available in sizes ranging from S to 3XL, these gloves are priced around the $50 mark. And if you actually look at other gloves with similar construction, they will cost twice as much. So what Joe Rockets is trying to do is offer you a glove that is extremely light in weight & equipped with knuckle protectors, but still reasonably priced.
On the inside you will find Lycra® as well, which adds to the comfort and air circulation. Moreover, a touchscreen capable index finger is another great thing you get, making these a great option if you are operating a latest version of helmet camera (for instance GoPro).
Plus, on the inside of the palm you are offered silicone grips that further adds to its tactile feedback.

Cortech Bully Gloves
The next glove we are going to discuss is the Cortech Bully, a ventilated leather glove with a short cuff. Inspired by the classic look, these gloves also come in brown. So, for those of you who really adore the vintage look, these inexpensive leather gloves are a must have.
Ideally, these gloves are tailored for the summer season, since they are ventilated, but owing to the 0.8 mm thick goatskin leather construction, they also offer insulation from cold winds. This feature allows them to be used as a mid-season leather glove, especially in regions where there is no precipitation.
Coming to the safety features; it includes hard knuckle armor inserts that offer a decent amount of impact protection (definitely a lot better than the Chinese replicas you find online). Added to this is its double stitched finish that increases its durability. And an additional padding around the palm that provides more grip over the handlebars and also helps to reduce vibrations.
Furthermore, a TPU slider on the palm and reinforcements over the pinky finger add to its abrasion resistance. Reef gloves have definitely exceeded our expectations when we compare the price-performance ratio to other expensive models. The only drawback is that you may find them a little tight on the wrist especially when new, but that won’t pose a problem on slim hands. However, for our big bulky riders out there, this is something you should take a note of.
All in all, these are great for everyday biking and are highly suitable for urban environment. In fact, even on the hottest of days you won’t find these gloves annoying. In our personal opinion, the biggest advantages are: low price, strong knuckle inserts, and exceptional breathability.

Icon Twenty-Niner CE Gloves
So, the Icon Twenty-Niner gloves are something we personally like a lot. And these are in fact very durable and will last for years if properly maintained.
They feature a pre-curved design to make sure you are ready to put your hands over a motorcycle handlebar without any issues. And as for the size, we would say they fit pretty true to size, maybe a little snug initially, but they will eventually take the shape of your hand.
The Icon Twenty-Niner was introduced a decade ago to the motorcycle community at a price point of just $29 (hence the name). However, due to some modifications, safety improvements, and performance tweaks lately, the price increased to $35, which is still very cheap, and this time it is CE certified as well! What else can we possibly ask for in this price range?
Talking about the safety features; this motocross styled glove offers a full leather palm, reinforcement at the back of the hand, 3D meshes down the thumb as well as at the back, foam padded knuckles, vents along the back of your fingers, single wrist closure with Velcro®, and a short cuff style.
All things considered, if you are really low on budget and are looking for a CE rated motorcycle glove, we would highly recommend Twenty-Niners from Icon.

In addition, there is a full textile fabric on the front and back, a short cuff layout, Velcro® tab, and soft padding around the high abrasion areas including the heel and above the base of the fingers.

So, in case you happen to ride in a moist environment, these will help you maintain your grip in such conditions. And apart from being touch screen friendly, you are also offered with a fleece lining around the thumb that helps you wipe up your runny nose while riding against the wind.

Bottom line
So, these were the list of some of the very best and affordable motorcycle gloves. Part of the reason why we came up with this list is because a lot of motorcyclists are still out there who either really do not wish to invest in this area, or are unfortunately low on budget. Still, the fact remains that riding gloves are one of the most important pieces of protective equipment that protects you in the event of fall. So, something is better than nothing!
